The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 was a great fun evening! The best part was that Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were together once again. They even delivered an exceptional performance, bringing everybody back to their film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. It was also a massive victory for the film Laapataa Ladies, which won most of the major awards.

Filmfare Awards 2025: The climax of the night came when Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol returned to the stage. It was all like the old days, and the audience was delighted. The popular screen couple was dancing to some of their old hit tracks. It was an enjoyable and memorable show for those who grew up watching them. Shah Rukh and Kajol, along with their director Karan Johar, were awarded a special prize for their contributions to 90s movies. This was an indication of the extent to which their films, such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, continue to resonate with people.
Laapataa Ladies wins big.
The movie Laapataa Ladies was the night’s ultimate winner, though the stars were the major attraction. It won an unbelievable 13 awards.
1. Best Film and Best Director:
The film has won the best film award. It also received the Best Director award from its director, Kiran Rao.
2. Best Supporting Actors:
Ravi Kishan and Chhaya Kadam won the awards for their excellent performances in this film.
3. One of the bright stars is born.
Nitanshi Goel, who acted in Laapataa Ladies, received the award for the best new female actor.

Chandu Champion and I Want To Talk shared the award with Kartik Aaryan and Abhishek Bachchan, respectively.
- Best actress (Female):
Alia Bhatt won the award because of her film Jigra.
- Best New Actor (Male):
Lakshya celebrated his Kill movie.
- Lifetime Achievement Award:
This is a significant honour that was awarded to long-time actor Zeenat Aman. It was also the case with the late filmmaker Shyam Benegal, who was awarded posthumously.
