Kantara Chapter 1 Movie Review: The prequel to the blockbuster Kantara, Kantara: Chapter 1, has finally hit theatres amid massive expectations. Directed and headlined by Rishab Shetty, the film explores the origins of the mystical Kantara land, showcasing the conflict between the Kantara and the Bangra kingdom. With breathtaking VFX, intense action sequences, and deeply rooted storytelling, the movie promises an immersive visual spectacle for audiences.

Story:

Kantara: Chapter 1 tells the story of the land of Kantara. Kulasekhara (Gulshan Devaiah) becomes the new king of Bangra, while the leader of the Kantara people (Rishab Shetty) guides his community. He and his people secretly enter Bangra, and the movie shows the clash between them and the kingdom. The story mixes mythology, folklore, and action. The interval scene and the big climax, full of divine powers and rituals, are meant to amaze the audience.

Director, Cast, and Crew:

Rishab Shetty is a director, headline actor, and terrific actor in the movie, especially in the divine possession and trance scenes. Rukmini Vasanth turns out to be a surprise package, and her role comes to the fore in the climax. Gulshan Devaiah and Jayaram are good supporting actors. It is directed by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, shot by Arvind S. Kashyap, edited by Suresh Mumbai, and scored by B. Ajaneesh Loknath.

Music and Visuals:

The tribal and mystical mood of the film is enhanced by the music and score by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. VFX scenes, particularly involving animals and divine scenes, are beautiful and remarkable to the eye. Arvind S. Kashyap has captured each frame with depth and immersion that gives elegance to the tribal battles and magical scenes.

Action and Entertainment:

The chariot race scene in the first part is well done, and the graphics are of high quality. The war scenes and divine cults are dramatic and exciting. The tension is also threaded with some well-timed comedy in the film, which makes the entire experience enjoyable.

According to the Sacnilk, with bookings in Hindi around ₹2.50 Cr, expected to cross ₹4 Cr, and positive word of mouth, the film is poised to perform strongly across India, particularly in tier-2 and tier-3 centers.
