The original Nokia 1100 has come back to life with modern-day features, in the place of those that were when it was first introduced, and one of its most significant features is still its battery. This modern keypad phone, if one can still call it that, points to the fact that it has a 7000 mAh battery that makes it a phone with battery life that can still be suitable, even by many of the full-featured smartphones available today.
One of the challenges modern smartphones have today is that with a high-refresh screen, being continuously connected to the internet, and performing resource-heavy AI tasks, it is a constant challenge to go one or two days without the phone running low on battery. In the case of a 7000 mAh battery-powered backpack and 12GB RAM, low-power keypad phone, the airtime could be extended to a time span of days or even weeks — theoretically much longer than that of typical smartphones. Under low-consumption standby and minimal background overhead, the Nokia 1100 could simply last longer than many premium handsets with just one battery charge.
There are rumors that the new 1100 Nokia model will still have a classical design but will be equipped with a few smart features.
The early leak hinted at a 6000 mAh version; the latest ones are talking about 7000 mAh and thus, an even longer-lasting phone. The intended design is expected to be very tactile and simple, as it would not contain the typical numerous apps and OS that consume memory and power.
●Handset designed for ultra-efficient usage with long-lasting standby and talk times.
●Basic essential features like flashlight, SMS, call, and maybe music/FM are included.
●Minimal app support, likely limited to essentials with no full smartphone OS.
The new 1100 doesn’t have any AI features such as integrated assistants or learning capabilities, and no legitimate rumors of such have been reported.
Should the Nokia 1100 equipped with this battery actually be real, then we must say that it may last longer than that of midrange and even flagship smartphones with calls, texts, and light tasks as the only usage. Due to the fact that in Smartphones, background services, displays, sensors, and AI modules work are power-consuming, hence their batteries deplete pretty fast. By the 1100s, it had gained the upper hand in pure endurance.
